... the refined breakfast by Chrisoula at Hotel Ganimede: freshly-made juices and a variety of breads to test all the jams. Perfect combinations of apple, orange, or raspberry, and various chutneys: cauliflower with mustard, pepper, cucumber and squash, apricot with peppers, tomatoes with spices and black currant... I never saw breakfast last for so long, and jazz music certainly helps.

Etnos (November 2008)
Ganimede. The former hotel by Bruno Perocco is now run by Chrisoula Papalexi and her husband Kostas. There are two buildings (the 19th century captain's house and an additional one) facing a flowery courtyard where breakfast is served with care by Mrs Chrisoula. The plethora of jams for which the house is known features at least 15 different flavors. You can try olive pâté and hummus, home-made lemon cake and a variety of breads made in the bakery of Mr. Kostas. Rooms have traditional decor with antique furniture, iron beds and chandeliers under stone walls.
Voyager (November 2008)
The cool courtyard of the 19th century captain's house brings the old atmosphere of a romantic era. Iron beds, old lamps and the breakfast reflect the long-term reputation. In addition there is a suite with jacuzzi cabin and fireplace. We liked the jazz music at breakfast. Tip: bring home some of the jams and chutneys hand-made by Chrisoula.

Each day choose from three different types of jams - made by Mrs Chrisoula - two pâtés (olive or chickpeas), four different types of bread. For jam and cheese you have four different kinds of chutney (apricot, tomato, cauliflower, melon) and then the cake with the famous lemon cream by Mrs Chrisoula.
